Preinstalled gnome apps

Even there are 100 different Linux distributions available, there are only two Linux desktops available which are Gnome and KDE. Gnome is widespread used and should be explained briefly. It consists of a handful of apps in different categories:

- system tools: archive manager, gnome-disks, file-manager, gedit, terminal, screenshot, system-monitor
- document tools: scanner, pdf viewer
- office apps: video player, evolution e-mail

No matter which Linux distribution was installed on the PC for example Ubuntu, Arch Linux or Slackware, these gnome apps are available for sure. It allows to organize files on the hard drive, create new partitions, create text files, enter commands in the terminal or write an email. These tools are frequently used by the average end user so they are preinstalled on every system.

Of course, all these programs are distributed under a GPL License, which means that they are free of charge and without advertisement. They are nearly error free, because the tools were improved over decades and used by million of users.
